Agoura Hills is a city in the Santa Monica Mountains located roughly 35 miles to the northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Agoura Hills was named as the result of a misspelling of local rancher Don Pierre Agoure in 1927. At which time it was known as just “Agoura.”
